Scoring the game-winner in overtime for the Walleye was Brandon Hawkins, who finished the game with three points: a goal and two assists. That made Hawkins a part of every Walleye goal.
Scoring the two goals in regulation for the Walleye was Colin Swoyer, while Carter Gylander stopped 26 of 28 shots in the win, after recently being assigned to Toledo from the AHL.

Scoring both of the goals early in the third period for the Cyclones was Zack Trott, while Kyle McClellan had one of his best games, stopping 41 of 44 shots in the overtime loss.
Game Recap
Swoyer opened the scoring up in this one for the Walleye, who wristed a shot past McClellan from the right circle for an early 1-0 lead.
Later on, Trott finally evened things up, not even 30 seconds into the third, with a power play goal deflected in front off a Gunnar Fontaine shot. It was Trott’s first goal of the season and as a Cyclone.
Around two minutes later, Trott gave the Cyclones their first lead of the night, scoring his second goal of the game. He drove in towards the net and went forehand-backhand to roof it by Gylander.
The 2-1 lead did not last, however. With under two minutes left in the third, Swoyer would tie the game back up at 2-2 on a tipped shot in from Hawkins. It was also his second goal of the game.
In overtime, Toledo’s Colby Ambrosio broke out on a breakaway and was slashed by Aaron Bohlinger before getting a shot off.
Hawkins would make the Cyclones pay on the power play with 4:43 remaining in the overtime period, sniping one past McClellan for the 3-2 overtime win.
The Cyclones were outshot by a 44 to 28 margin in this one and finished 0-for-1 on the penalty kill and 1-for-2 on the power play.
The Cyclones will now hit the road for a tough weekend slate of three games in three days, starting in Kalamazoo on Friday, and then two games at Wheeling Saturday/Sunday.
